IT IS NICE TO KNOW AND SEE THAT THE STREETS AROUND THE WORLD REMAIN ALIVE, EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE ALMOST EMPTY!
Let this be the first “concluding” thought of the 3-day international web conference on education in the field of contemporary performative street arts SAWA # 5 (March 23-25). And it was more than that! Why?
So far away, with the first click, with which we established a (web) connection with each other, a bond was forged between the participants, which for a short time connected us into a community, almost a family, and at times it seemed as if we were gathered in the same room.
This is how we (at a distance) socialized very different artists who are connected to the street in one way or another, and although we speak different languages, use different tools and methods, (creative and pedagogical) approaches, we all ask the same questions and subject its chameleon nature in ”new realities” in art and/or create new ways of living with it.
Thus, at a distance, it became clear that there is a (broader common) interest and will to systematize and institutionalize education (s) in the field of contemporary performative street arts. And now is just the right time for it!
A more detailed report on the conference will be prepared and published in the coming days, when the adrenaline drops, when the heads cool down, thoughts calm down and impressions clear, and also an e-publication will be available to the general public.
For once, THANK YOU to all of you who contributed in any way to the successful implementation of the conference, and stay in touch – with the street and with us!
