In the short November nights, when night falls as early as in the afternoon hours, Ana Plamenita festival with its fiery installations invigorates certain corners of the city and turns them into magical places.
Visitors are invited to join us and take a lovely walk, be surprised by sparkling art interventions, and even attend a workshop to make their own lanterns or hats with lights.
Ana Plamenita‘s first appearance was on 13th of November 2009 at the Ljubljana Castle, and in the years to come the festival brought to light the embankments of the Ljubljanica and Gradaščica rivers, a courtyard of a mansion in Moste, the Šišenski hrib Hill, Špica Park, North City Park and Ambrož park.
From 2013 to 2016, festivals of night and fire under the name of Ana Plamenita of Maribor also took place in Maribor, organized by Hiša! society and Narodni dom Maribor.
