{"id":6052,"date":"2019-07-02T09:16:53","date_gmt":"2019-07-02T07:16:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.anamonro.si\/?page_id=6052"},"modified":"2019-07-02T10:01:40","modified_gmt":"2019-07-02T08:01:40","slug":"people-to-people","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.anamonro.si\/en\/people-to-people\/","title":{"rendered":"PEOPLE TO PEOPLE*"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The travelling legend of many a miracle, the diva of city streets and squares, Ana Desetnica is coming to town from 2 to 7 July while on the 22nd street theatre tour around Slovenia! Accompanied by artists from <strong>11 countries<\/strong> (Slovenia, Spain, Austria, Tunisia, Columbia, Belgium, Ghana, Ireland, Great Britain, Germany, and the Netherlands), it&#8217;s going to visit <strong>11 towns<\/strong>: Kamnik, Ankaran, \u0160o\u0161tanj, Nova Gorica, Ljubljana, Kr\u0161ko, Novo mesto, Se\u017eana, Celje, \u0160kofja Loka, and Ilirska Bistrica.<\/p>\n<p>Ana Desetnica&#8217;s long-time faithful friends probably wonder: What about <strong>Maribor<\/strong>?! Unfortunately, <em>Narodni dom Maribor<\/em> \u2013 the event organizer \u2013 hasn&#8217;t found common ground with the city authorities about the new Ana Desetnica concept in Lent district, which included a circus tent at the festival location.<\/p>\n<p>The idea is that Ana Desetnica should become a sort of a big at-home party with the official programme, but also with all of you, our dear visitors! Ana Desetnica says <strong>PEOPLE TO PEOPLE<\/strong>*! We&#8217;re further developing the living room concept (in Ljubljana since 2017) \u2013 trying to make the public space homely and cosy with chairs, armchairs, coffee tables, and other pieces of furniture in order to create snug spaces in Slovenska street once again. However, lounging and lazing about is not going to be the only thing going on as we intend to fill the streets with our diverse programme. Storytellers, poets, musicians, and chat lovers are going to warm you up: In case you feel the need to spice up the happening yourself \u2013 you&#8217;re more than welcome to do so! So, please \u2013 join us in the intimacy of our living room to crack a joke, read poetry from the heart, sing a song or tell a good story.<\/p>\n<p>This summer, the living room concept is also going to invigorate artistic programmes and offer nice and cosy places for mingling in Nova Gorica and Novo mesto.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our programme this year has so many highlights that it would be impossible to name all of them right now. And here are a few hints: The 4-day festival is going to be fired up with the performance <strong><em>Oni<\/em><\/strong> by Ada Kogov\u0161ek and <em>Kazina<\/em> dancers (SLO). Several towns are going to be attacked by the high-in-the-air spectacle Icarus performed by the <em>Southpaw Dance Collective<\/em> (GB). Some towns are going to host the romantic story <strong><em>Springtim<\/em><\/strong><em>e<\/em> (NLD), others the circus group <strong><em>Vaiven<\/em><\/strong> (ESP) with superb stunts on their unique construction. But don&#8217;t panic \u2013 Ana Desetnica 2019 is going to endure safety with <strong><em>Two Policewomen<\/em> <\/strong>(ESP).<\/p>\n<p>For the third year in a row, the <em>International Award of Excellence<\/em> is going to be presented to the best performance by international artists \u2013 <em><strong>urbANA ljubljANA 2019<\/strong><\/em><em>. The winner is going to be chosen by an expert jury as well as a member of the audience, a so-called voice of the people.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>But before Ana Desetnica 2019 there&#8217;s going to be a 12-day youth exchange i. e. international interdisciplinary explorational workshop <strong>PLACE yourSELF inTO public SPACE 2<\/strong>. Young people from Slovenia, Croatia, and Serbia are going to join our intensive and practical workshops (65 pedagogical hours) and explore the public space through street theatre, contemporary circus, audiovisual art, and music.
